My Follows
Follow city, holiday system reminders, and railway lines; used for home summary, YOYO/LINE queries, and message push.
What this guide covers
My Follows concentrates the configuration of the information you want DodoAI to continuously track: followed cities and weather thresholds, Japan's public holiday system alerts, and the operational status of commonly used railways in the Kanto region.
After configuration, it can be used for:
- Home page "My Follows" summary card
- YOYO / LINE text queries (0 AI, no points charged)
- Notification center alerts triggered by thresholds (including traffic disruptions)
- AI suggestions optional context information (must be enabled separately, see Where Does AI Suggestion Information Come From)
Entry (hub, three lines)
Me → Settings → My Follows
| Subpage | Deep link |
|---|---|
| Weather | /app/settings?section=follow&sub=weather |
| Holidays | /app/settings?section=follow&sub=holidays |
| Transit | /app/settings?section=follow&sub=transit |
The right side of each hub line displays a summary (e.g., "2 cities · 3 reminders" or "Following 3 lines").

| Setting | Path | Manages | Does not manage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weather Settings | Weather Settings | Home weather card, default location, weather hints in reminders | Does not select followed lines |
| My Follows → Weather | This page · Weather subpage | Cities used for summary/push + rain/heat/JMA/typhoon threshold alerts | Does not control the home card's on/off switch |
| My Follows → Transit | This page · Transit subpage | Followed lines, commute presets, delay/suspension notification push | Cannot select lines from LINE |
| Calendar Settings | Calendar and Holidays | Whether the calendar interface displays holidays | Does not decide whether they're written into today's summary |
| My Follows → Holidays | This page · Holidays subpage | Whether holidays/consecutive days off appear in today's digest and may be pushed | Does not change calendar layers |
Weather (sub=weather) {#weather}
Followed cities
- Up to 2 city slots (Slot 1 / Slot 2)
- Options: current location, preset cities, or search for a custom city
- Country/region determines the available preset list
Weather alert switches
| Switch | Description |
|---|---|
| Rain alert | May be written to the notification center when the chance of rain exceeds the threshold |
| Heat alert | Alerts when temperature exceeds the set value |
| JMA alerts (Japan) | Japan Meteorological Agency related alerts |
| Typhoon | Alerts related to typhoon paths |
Difference from "Weather Settings"
- Weather Settings: Controls whether the weather card is shown on the home page, and YOYO's default location when you ask about the weather.
- This page · Weather: Manages which cities are used for the My Follows summary and threshold push notifications.
The two can be configured independently. If you want AI suggestions to use weather context, you also need to enable Use weather in suggestions in AI Suggestions.
Holidays (sub=holidays) {#holidays}
System reminders
| Switch | Description |
|---|---|
| Japan public holidays | Reminders before and after statutory holidays |
| Three-day weekends | Reminders around three consecutive days off |
| Golden Week | Reminders before and after Golden Week |
Difference from "Calendar Settings"
- Calendar Settings: Whether you see holiday markers on the calendar interface.
- This page · Holidays: Whether this holiday information is included in today's digest / message reminders.
AI suggestions that reference holidays also require Use holidays and compensatory days in suggestions to be enabled.
Transit (sub=transit) {#transit}
Select lines
- Grouped by operator for selection (JR East, Tokyo Metro, Tokyu, Odakyu, Keio, Seibu, Keikyu, etc.)
- Up to 8 lines
- Line names follow your interface language (for example, the Yamanote Line appears as 山手線 when the UI is Japanese)
Weekday commute preset
One-click apply the "Yamanote Line + Ginza Line" preset; you can continue adding or removing lines afterward.
Delay / suspension alerts
| Switch | Description |
|---|---|
| Delay alert | May push a notification when a selected line experiences a delay-type status (requires at least one line to be selected) |
| Suspension alert | May push a notification for suspension/service-rest status |
Alerts are written to the notification center, with a filter option for "My Follows".
Data updates and display
- Status is updated roughly every 5 minutes from each operator's official site/API (not real-time GPS)
- Home page: followed lines are shown in the "My Follows" card; disruptions are shown first
- YOYO / LINE: see Text Commands below
Japanese summaries and "Unable to Fetch"
- Delay details may show the operator's original text (Japanese) in parentheses — this comes from JR/Metro's official sites and is not a language-setting error. See FAQ: Why Is the Delay Description in Japanese?
- If it shows Unable to Fetch / UNKNOWN, parsing for that line may still be a work in progress; this does not necessarily mean the line is suspended. See FAQ: Line Always Shows Unable to Fetch
Text commands (0-AI) {#commands}
Send the following text in a YOYO or LINE conversation (does not consume AI points):
| Send | Returns | Prerequisite |
|---|---|---|
| My Follows / Today's Digest | Today's digest (weather, holidays, transit disruptions, task/reminder counts, etc.) | "My Follows" already configured in the App |
| Commute / Traffic Disruption | Only the status list for your followed lines | At least 1 line selected |
| Not configured | Prompts you to open App → Settings → My Follows | — |
You can also send Command Help·My Follows or Command Help·Weather & Transit to see example phrasing. Conversational phrasing (like "Is the Yamanote Line delayed?") works in both Task Mode and Chat Mode, see Weather and Traffic Queries.
