What does the app cache locally, and does clearing local storage affect cloud data and login status?

This guide explains what content the DodoAI App temporarily stores on the local device, why local storage is needed, and what happens after you clear local storage, allowing you to operate with confidence.

(The settings hub may display a group related to Local Cache, depending on the app.)

What Local Storage Does

The app caches certain data on your phone or browser for:

Faster page loading (such as the space list and recent results on the home statistics);
Reducing repetitive requests (providing a more stable experience during brief offline moments or weak networks);
Saving certain interface preferences (like font, theme, etc., as per the app's suggestions).

These are copies, and your main account data is stored in the cloud.

Steps

Open Settings → Storage & Cache.
Check the Current Usage (approximately xx MB).
Click Clear Local Storage.
Read the confirmation prompt and select confirm.

After clearing, the App will retrieve the necessary data from the cloud the next time you use it.

What Will Be Retained After Cleanup

According to the app's confirmation text, typically when clearing local storage:

Login status	Local copies of page lists
Local settings such as interface and language	Temporarily cached details/message copies

Refer to the cleanup confirmation dialog in the app for specifics.

What Will Not Happen

Will not delete cloud-based tasks, reminders, documents, expenses, YOYO cloud sessions, and other business data;
Will not replace Data Export & Backup (export requires a separate request);
Will not replace Data Cleanup (bulk deletion of cloud records requires data cleanup).

When to Consider Clearing

The storage page shows that local usage is significantly high;
The list or details not refreshed for a long time, inconsistent with cloud data;
Investigating interface anomalies (can be combined with logging out and logging back in).

If the issue is that YOYO chat records still exist, use Clear session data instead of just clearing local storage.
